SIRIUS

'SIRIUS' is a dialogue between what is seen and heard. It embraces the duality of beauty and ugliness, creation and destruction, nature and human. By using footage and recordings from NASA, this audiovisual piece exposes a dystopia of the earth.

The audio is a collection of sounds familiar to humans; whilst the visual performs in a foreign language, with generative abstract imagery of the earth.

The symbiosis of the audio and video aims to create a moment of catharsis, as the audience visually experiences the descent of earth whilst embraced in an intimate soundscape.

This was created as part of the Space Arts Residency Program run by Cinema Planeta, in which I collaborated with the sound artist One Love One Life.
